Innskotsorð í íslenskri tungu eru hljóðuð tákn sem eru til að tengja setningar. Á sýningunni Orðlaus er hlutverk innskotsorða í íslenskri tungu skoðað, þar sem merking orða getur verið breytileg eftir blæbrigðum og aðstæðum.

Filler words in Icelandic are sounds that are used to connect sentences together. The exhibition Speechless puts an emphasis on the role of filler words in the Icelandic language, where the meaning of a word can differ by pronunciation and why, how and when it´s used.

The graphic textile works from the exhibition Admire draw inspiration from the female body and the importance of a strong and positive body image. Today’s society sets unrealistic standards of beauty on women. The beauty that is communicated to us through social media is more often than not distorted by tools like photoshop and negatively effects our body image.

The exhibition Admire focused on elevating the body in its most sincere and natural form. Beauty lies in understanding and loving our own bodies capabilities and strengths.

The exhibition Aðdáun emphasises the importance of having a beautiful relationship with your body. What do you love most about your body?

Verkin á sýningunni Aðdáun sóktu innblástur í kvenlíkamann og mikilvægi þess að upphefja jákvæða líkamsímynd. Birtingarmynd fegurðar í samfélaginu okkar í dag getur sett fram mjög óraunhæfar kröfur og staðla um fegurð og líkamsmynd kvenna.

Fegurðinni sem er miðlað til okkar í gegnum samfélagsmiðla er oftar en ekki skekkt með blekkjandi lýsingu og myndvinnslu. Sýningin Aðdáun vildi upphefja líkamann í sínu einlægasta formi. Fegurð liggur í að skilja og elska okkar eign líkama og allt sem hann hefur upp á að bjóða.

Sýningin lagði áherslu á mikilvægi þess að eiga fallegt samband við líkamann sinn. Verkin upphefja styrkleika líkamans og vekja til umræðu jákvæða sjálfsmynd og ræktun hennar. Hvað elskar þú mest við líkamann þinn?

When starting working on the project we looked at the history of the place. Hlemmur had been a bus station since the late 70’s. A bus station where all kinds of people met. We looked at the time period Hlemmur was built and also the architecture of the time. We also looked at illustration styles and colours. We collected everything together and this is what we have come up with.

Icelandic Academy of the Arts 2017 graduation show. I did all the the infographics, photography and the festival logo for the show. The logo was used to connect the different departments that where graduating.

All the photography is taken on a 35mm film and is by me. The idea of the student turning there back is to emphasise how alike we as designers are and also the unisex idea. In some photos there is no way of knowing the gender of the student. 

Vann hátíðarmerki, prentefni, myndefni og merkingar fyrir útskriftasýningu BA deildar Listaháskóla Íslands. Hugmyndin með öllu var að halda útlitinu einföldu og fallegu. Hugmyndavinnan var unnin með Thomas Pausz sýningarstjóra og Rúnu Thors framkvæmdastjóra. Nemendurnir á myndunum eru úr arkitektúr, grafískri hönnun, vöruhönnun, fatahönnun og myndlist. Allt myndefnið var tekið af mér á 35mm filmu.
